MANDATE

NIFCS aims is to be a beacon of light to the seven communities, with the focus of delivering holistic, and community-based programs and services that meets the distinct needs of families. When programs and services are community based and community driven, then sustainable community building actions take place and communities achieve and promote their own health and well being.  The community needs based budget is created around this concept of community health and wellbeing. Ensuring that child safety needs are promoted and protected is part of the community health and well being plan. A pivotal focus of NIFCS work plan is to strengthen, empower and support the youth and their existing youth programs. To this end we have already embarked on making connections with some of the youth leaders and sent out letters of invite to meet with youth face to face. NIFCS beliefs and strongly feels that together with the youth and with community assistance, we could make positive changes within one or two generations rather than waiting for seven generations to make change happen.
